The Chosen Devotional Day 17: Come and See

The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, "Follow me." ...Philip found Nathanael and said to him, "We have found him of whom Moses in the Law and also the prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. Nathanael said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see.-" John 1:43, 45-46
  • Write out your come-to-see Jesus. How did you meet Him? How did He change your mind about who He is and what's true?
My come-to-see Jesus moment was when I was watching a Christian channel (TBN) and the pastor on the program looked different that most that I've typically seen. He's Asian with an accent, and the words he said were ones I have not heard before. Out of curiosity, I searched him online and found out that his name is Joseph Prince. From then on, my journey with knowing who really Jesus is started.
  • Since Jesus is no longer walking and talking on earth, what does "come and see" mean now?
"Come and see" nowadays would mean people like me would become the bridge between unbelievers and Jesus. As a witness to God's goodness, I am given the opportunity and privilege to introduce someone into the goodness and love of God.
  • Who is someone in your life who needs to "come" and "see" Jesus? Pray for that person then go make the introduction . Trust Jesus to do the convincing.
